About MCA
Leadership begins with Discipleship, and our leaders understand that at Mt. Calvary Assembly. Our church board is faithful to God and available to all church members.
Affectionately known as the "Double Doctor," Pastor Will Potter is a compassionate and dedicated servant of God. He is the organizing pastor of The Mt. Calvary Assembly Ministry. The ministry began in 1988 following Dr. Will's relocation to Daytona Beach from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Elder Will is a worshiper, inspirational Bible teacher, preacher, author, and visionary. He has earned a Doctorate of Divinity from Apostolic College of Grace and Truth of Dayton, Ohio. He is the author of "Lord Save the Family," "The Last Hope for This Generation," and publisher of numerous articles and publications including Apostolic Light Magazine. He is currently heard on the radio station WPUL 1590 AM.
After attending Jackson State, Harvard, and Cornell Universities, Dr. Will completed a Medical Doctorate at the University of Pittsburgh and a residency in Internal Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was the Chief of Medicine at Tinker Air Force Base and a practicing physician at Florida Health Care in Daytona Beach, where he was also Chief of Medicine, Allergy, and Immunology. He is a pioneering physician of several clinics, including Halifax, People's Health Clinic, and a Volusia County Health Department Physician. His practice focused on internal medicine, allergies, and infectious diseases, especially HIV. He is a noted community educator and speaker and has appeared on local and national health care and religious meetings and television programs.
As a member of The Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, he serves as an executive board member of the Florida Council of churches and Vice-Chairman of the Florida State Council. Currently, Dr. Will dedicates his full time to the ministry at MCA.
Dr. Diana Potter
Dr. Diana Potter enjoys her work in the ministry, as well as being a mom, wife, grandmother, and friend. At MCA her work focuses primarily on the academy, which she began in 1989 with the help of Dr. Will Potter. Under Diana's leadership, the private Christian school, which began with only two students in preschool, has expanded to sixth grade. Children bring delight to her heart. She believes that "Children are like arrows in the hands of mighty men" — they go where you aim them. Her goal is to aim the total person of every child for maximum development.
Diana can also be found engaged in Bible teaching, altar work, prayer, and church administration. She and Dr. Will enjoy working together as a team. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, University of Central Oklahoma, and Apostolic College of Grace and Truth of Dayton, Ohio.
She has served as Editor of the "Light" magazine, a publication for Minister's wives of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. Diana is the author of "A Church and School Organizational Manual," and a "Study Guide for New Members." She currently serves as the State Minister's Wives and Minister's Widows President for the Florida State Council, Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., and is on the staff of the Institute and teaches classes to assist Christian Education teachers to become certified.
